Independent Perfumer, UK

Bespoke Fragrance Development

I work directly with brands, founders and individuals to translate an idea, a brief or a feeling into a finished fragrance formula — through hands-on, considered development at the bench.

About the Perfumer

A direct relationship with the person developing your fragrance

Yevfumes is an independent studio — not a large fragrance house. Every project is developed personally, from the first conversation through to the final formula, with no account handlers or hidden layers in between.

How a Project Unfolds

The Development Process

A structured, five-stage process — from brief to final formula — built around evaluation and feedback at every stage.

  1. 01

    Discovery

Understanding the brand, concept, references, target customer and olfactory direction.

  2. 02

    Development

The fragrance is formulated and developed through structured experimentation.

  3. 03

    Evaluation

Samples are supplied for evaluation and feedback.

  4. 04

    Refinement

The formula is adjusted based on feedback until the intended direction is achieved.

  5. 05

    Final Formula

Once approved, the final fragrance formula and agreed project deliverables are supplied.

Questions

Frequently Asked

Do I need a finished brief to start a project?

No. Some clients arrive with a detailed creative brief, others with a single reference, a feeling or a rough idea. Part of the discovery stage is shaping that starting point into a clear olfactory direction.

Do you work with individuals as well as brands?

Yes. The studio works with fragrance and beauty brands, founders launching something new, and individuals who want a personal fragrance developed for them.

Where are you based, and do you work internationally?

The studio is based in the UK and works with clients internationally. Discovery, evaluation and refinement are handled remotely where needed, with samples sent for evaluation at each stage.

How do the perfumery classes work?

Classes are practical, small-group sessions covering fragrance materials, structure and formulation. Dates aren't scheduled yet — register your interest to be notified as soon as they're announced.

How do I start a fragrance development enquiry?

Use the project enquiry form to share a few details about you or your brand and your fragrance idea. Every enquiry is reviewed personally before a response is sent.

Have an idea for a fragrance?

Whether it's a fully formed brief or a single reference and a feeling, start by telling me about it.
